I started OP a couple of days ago . So far, I am able to do like 2 OPs, of 15-20 mins each in morning and at bedtiime. I am using Sunflower Oil with 2-3 drops of peppermint oil. So far loving it. But how long will it take to overcome KP? How many have cured KP using this therapy?
My KP diminished by 90-95% after 3 weeks of oil pulling, using coconut oil for 20 minutes a day. Molly's husband, who had KP, also had success with oil pulling.
A KP forum has many who found success for the bumps, but not always with the associated redness when they started OP.
Stay with OP at least a month to see if it helps. If you don't see a difference in a month, you may want to change to a different type of oil. I use coconut, untoasted sesame and avocado, all with KP success.
Thanks, this is amazing. I am surely gonna give this a shot and do it religiously for a month or two.
I am also planning to supplement with Cod Liver Oil. It helps with skin conditions....
I started OP couple of months ago and then slacked off beacuse of my 4 year old. But now I wannna keep at it.
I have told my 4 year old that sometimes mommy has to do a mouthwash and she cant speak. So now she understands and it has become easier for me to do this home therapy even in her presence.
KP is very resistant to being cured. BUT I too have noticed a 95% reduction in some KP that I have on my triceps (Since HS). It was never a 'problem' for me but the benefit has been nothing short of amazing.
Dry skin brushing, when I was doing it daily, eliminated my KP. I don't have a severe problem with it - some on the back of my arms and the sides of my thighs - but it may be another help for some who are looking for answers.
In my case the bumps from KP went away within a few days, but I did many, many pulls in a day when I first started (like between 4-6). I just happened to feel my arms after a few days to admire how soft they felt from the oil pulling, and I realized the KP bumps were gone. So, doing the math, if I had only been doing pulls twice a day like you are doing, that would put results at about 3 weeks. Even now though, after about 2 months, it's taken this long for the red spots to start clearing, and it's slooooow for the red to go it seems. I'm not sure if the red's going because of the oil pulling, or the Iodine supplementation I started a few weeks ago (plus the salt pulls, Vit. C, and selenium). I have noticed, if I skip oil pulling, the bumps want to come back. I do think, since the bumps were there for so long (all my life), that it will take some time for the red to totally clear, just like when you scar it will take a while for the red to go away from those.
But don't base your success on mine. We're all individuals, and our bodies will react on their own time, as they are capable.
I will forever oil pull. I love how smooth and young my skin feels. It's amazing how soft even the most heavily used and abused parts are, like fingers and palms. My facial skin is starting to look like a porcelain doll's. I love how clean my mouth and teeth feel. I've got a cold this week (it's going around town, so I know it's not detox), and despite brushing teeth or salt water have been getting dragon breath from the cold. But the oil pulling slays the dragon breath. I never get bad breath anymore if I keep up with the oil pulling. Just sooo many health benefits beyond this ...
