I was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer. There is a lump on the right side of my thyroid. After a biopsy I was told to have my entire thyroid removed, and would have to be on medication the rest of my life. I do not want to do this. If you’re only chelating with ALA I dont see any reason why you need to stop or stop often, esp if you’re able to tolerate it or feel good on it. I’d do it 2 weeks on and just take a weekend off. [End]

The Cutler protocol does state 3 days on before you stop, or at least that that’s ideal. Either way, part of the protocol involves waking up at night to take some ALA before going back asleep. ... ... Because of my schedule, Saturday through Monday is the most convenient time for me to be on ALA. See, on Friday nights, I tend to stay up a bit late, and I sleep long, often until 11am or so the next day. Friday is not a good day to be on chelation. I definitely can’t continue going longer than 3 days due to my sleep schedule and how it changes on weekends, so Saturday-Sunday-Monday is best for me. Since I’ve seen it recommended many places that you should have at least many days ”off” as ”on”, I guess I’ll switch to the 3/4 schedule come this weekend and see how things work. ... ...
