I had previously read that there was a high concentration of serotonin in the intestines, but had no idea that it was THAT high! Based on this there is most definitely a link between depression and the health of the digestive system...and no surprise that there is such a high incidence of obesity, depression and colon disorders amongst those consuming a Standard American Diet...SAD is right!
