Re: JL message (rethink your heros)

I felt badly after writing what I wrote, because it could be construed as insulting to people who idolize or even who just really like alot, the musicians mentioned. But what I wrote wasn't so much focused necessarily on those two as much as what grew around them or what they were part of, partly in response to them, and partly as a result of powerful forces of the zeitgeist, some which had help by a hidden hand, and there is no doubt that there were those behind the scenes using music as a political weapon to shape a generation so their children would be rip for the pickings - for what is going on right now.

Rule 1 in war is to demoralize the enemy, and if the masses are the enemy then one must demoralize the masses. Music is but one weapon of many which if simultaneously applied can quickly destroy any republic. I wrote something somewhere about considering family aspirations when making a career choice, and someone jumped down my throat for being so moralistic. Sheesh. What's the alternative ? To be a-moralistic ? Indeed. Tune in turn on, drop out, smoke pot, free love, welfare mothers, free sex, free diseases, no responsibilities. I don't know where most of these people went so wrong and I went so right, or even if I'm right and anybody's wrong, but people sure are different now than when I was a kid, in terms of respect for everything. Partiularly respect for the opposite gender in everyday interactions, its lke lots of folks have lost the distinction and with that loss, the loss of their own gender identity. I am irked when I hear a male utter what I consider profanity in front of any female, even if she happens to be tending bar - you just don't friggin do that. Holding doors open, no big deal but it is a big deal, women need to be cherished, at least the ladies do and put on high pedestals and respected because doing that influences the character of the whole society and culture - lose it and you become no better than animals, maybe worse - slaves, at least the squirrels in my yard are free. Pornography degrades women, period, and should be banned, its not first amendmnet speech, its filth, like yelling FvcK YOU aloud in a session of the legislature - its just plain wrong. Before the world can be enslaved, it must be demoralized, as only a demoralized populace would ever voluntarily submit to chains because they don't know any better, due to loss of dignity, stemming from forgetting the little things that arent so little, forgetting who they are, forgetting what a man is, forgetting what it means to be an american, and wanting to always just have a good time, free from accountability. It works like that, but only for a very short limited time before the big change.
