The Funny Thing Is...
I prefer raw
Date: 3/27/2010 9:47:25 PM ( 13 y ) ... viewed 1576 times I went off of eating raw today and felt a huge difference. And not in a good way. Really, I thought raw was just sort of hypey and the fad du jour but my eyes have been opened. I ate cooked food today. Eggs for breakfast, fish for lunch with sweet potato fries. I segued back into raw for dinner but not before having a bite of J's deli sammich. We hiked and ran errands but I dragged my arse all day.
No energy, no zip and (not surprising given how I felt)no fruits. Normally I have fruits with all meals (toms and avos are fruits too) and today fruits were had only with dinner. Also, and sorry to be so blunt, I've been going to the bathroom 2-3 times a day since I went off of the cleanse and that didn't happen today. Perhaps fruits and healthy fats facilitate a quicker transit time (esp. after a cleanse).
So, live and learn. Back to raw tomorrow. Lots and lots of fruits and veggies, a bit of raw fish/eggs, some good fats and voila. The gym reopens this Thursday after its remodeling hiatus and I am eager to get back to it. Back to lifting and stretching and yoga and spin class and stress relief. A hike once a week is wonderful but not enough exercise for my taste.
Another whole day off tomorrow. Such luxury is so appreciated!
