Fitness seems to be elusive in the United States. When you look at gym memberships, the majority of the members buy the package with every intention of going regularly but rarely follow through. There are a limited number of muscle heads and aerobic hounds who look forward to working out. This core circle of fitness freaks usually push themselves during their busy days to stay fit even when they are unable to workout. Let's consider some easy methods for staying fit below.

 

#1: Brisk Walking and HIIT

 

No matter how tired you may feel, there is always time to squeeze in some brisk walking. Whether there is a park nearby or a neighborhood to explore, walking is healthy when it raises your heart rate. If you walk too slow, you won't burn too many calories or improve the strength of your heart muscle.

 

The ultimate goal is to deplete your oxygen reserves by breaking up the brisk walking with a few jogs or sprints. When you burn up your oxygen reserves, you are working out even when you are at rest because your body is forced to maximize its focus on revving up metabolic processes.

 

These sprints or high-intensity training sessions can be thrown into the mix throughout the day. HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) is a phenomenal method of depleting oxygen supplies by doing mixed intervals of different exercises until you are breathless.

 

Whether you choose to do jumping jacks, push-ups, squat thrusts, or lunges, a HIIT workout thrown into your daily mix, every half an hour or so, is one of the best ways to stay fit with very little effort. The simple fact is that some people get bored with repetitive exercises at the gym. If you can throw in some intense short-and-sweet workouts anywhere, that is a whole different ball game.

 

#2: Supplements

 

Taking supplements in the forms of vitamins or other herbal formulas can do a lot to energize you and rev up your metabolism.
