I had my Mirena removed today. It was a smooth process. I felt a little pinch compared to the excruciating pain of insertion. No children so I almost fainted. I experienced a dull ache for an hour, but I feel good. I thank God that I will be healed from all of the chaos this device has caused my body. I got the Mirena because I had fibroids that casued heavy bleeding. Ehile Mirena virtually stopped my preiods altogether-the side effects just wasn't worth it. I called Berlex and filed an adverse event. I'm going to see my Naturopath for help balancing my hormones and getting back on track. I will let you guys know how I'm doing. I suffered from the following since insertion.
Migraines
Weight gain
Acne
Yeast Infections
Metallic smelling discharge
Mood Swings
