Cogratulations on starting your fast!
Your goal sounds very attainable, given your starting weight you'll find you might loose even more than this. Believe your body is never happy to carry extra weight so given an opportunity it WILL shed as much extra weight as possible. I lost 38 pounds
in 21 days with little discomfort trust me your body i only to happy to get rid off excess weight.
Your next goal of 29 days, sounds good its a long enough time not only to lose substantial weight but also detox your body and detox any bad eating habits that got you here. However, from having fasted 7 days before you already know not to enter into this lightly this is 4 times whats youv'e experienced before, the majority if not all long fasters know that day 18 onwards is an uphill climb but a also critical time so if you can help it hang in there. Not only does the best detox occur during this grueling time(with little to no weightloss yep for all that pain the scale barely budges)but 2-3 days later trust me you'll suddenly lose a lot of weight, feel a little better only for detox to start up again. Personally day 24 has been my max when I stop because unfortunatly I always startregurgitating acid it burn burns and hurts and there nothing left in my stomach to help it along so that act of throwing up also becomes painful its excruciating pain I just stop. If you dont get this(most people dont) but just reglar detoxthen you should be able to put up with another week till day 29.Just dont enter this lightly be focused, read up on fasting so you know what to expect-FOREWARNED IS FOREARMED!
-if you've been on and off fasting in this past month its not going to be easy as you're starting off with a weakened system.
-for a long fast you'll have a MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH EASIER fast if you take time to prepare with a minimum of 3 days of fruit and veggies; each time I've prepared I've had relatively smooth pain free fast till the usual day 17-18 detox days.
You already know most people enter into fasting and are unpleasantly surprised with the demands fasting can place on your mental and knowing what to expect would've helped them stay on the fast.
Dont let the fasting lows above discourage you as there sure are plenty fasting highs. Those who write about the euphoria brought on by fasting are spot on; especialy on a long fast. Once the first few hard and detox days are gone and one settles into the fast along comes bliss. There are detox free days, you'LL feEl a certain calamity, euphoria,a certain high unlike any other, its as if your'e a different person as you experience some form of enlightnment. It's hard to understand unless one actually experiences it first hand but it sure is serene and peaceful.
You might think I'm not on a spiritual fast what does this have to do with weightloss? Well as I just stated above fasting for weighloss can be hard and unless you're physicaly and mentally prepared you might not make it. Tapping into the above stated aspects of fasting is worthwhilein helping you not
-be panicky when detox comes- be patient with your body as sometimes weightloss doesnt go as you want- be strong and stick to the fast.Understably when weightloss is a goal we're so engrossed in it that we neglect spiritual aspests of fasting endurance, patience etc, the very tools critical for succes;especially on a longer fasting journey say if you have a lot of weight to shed.
As long as your comfortable with 29 days we're rootin for you; it just boils down to knowing yourelf and your limits more on that in the link below.
As for the weight you'll definitley regain water weight immediatley after breaking the fast over a couse of a few days. You cant control that but its not bad weight gain either. The rest of the weight you regain if you do regain any YOU ARE IN CONTROL. Fasting doesnt cause weight gain, you and the food choices you make result in weight gain.If anything the comforting thing is that your'e in FULL control, you get to determine how much weight you continue to loose. So this is not a question anyone but you hold the answer to.
Unless you goal is to regain weight then that shouldnt be your focus, why notbe more positive and focus on what exactly you will do differently to maintain or lose more weight.Dont just say it take action toward it.Any thought?
Best wishes and do keep us posted!
