Hi meat27! I also have heartburn through pregnancy and now post removal. I've been doing resaerch (did I tell you about this before? I cant remember) on heartburn, and it is affected by progesterone, that is why we get it when we are pregnant. I noticed that I get it a week before my period, for the most part. I checked a "menstual horomone"chart, that shows the peaks and valleys of estrogen and progesterone, and progesterone spikes days 21-25 of the cycle, and that seems to coincide with the heartburn. Also, while we are balancing out from the mirena, we may have irregular amounts of progesterone in our system on days we are technically not supposed to, because our bodies are just starting to produce its own after the mirena is removed. Also, I have read your posts about your throat, and I think that may also be from heartburn. the "burn" feeling is only 1 symptom out of about 6, and not everyone gets that symptom. some people with heartburn are mistakenly diagnosed with asthma, because they feel everything in their throat and chest, and don't feel the burn. Hope some of this info helps.
