I stop in this forum from time to time and post a few messages. I had the Mirena removed 1 year ago in February. Each month that passed I felt alittle better. I have to say it took a full year! I will still feel a slight anxiety some nights before my period, nothing compared to when I had the Mirena and some months after removal. In July I finially asked my Doctor for Zanex, .5mg. He gave me 20 pills and I still have some left. So in 8 months, I only occassionally take one to relax the anxiety. I never wanted to be medicated, just like alot of you don't. It just helped me get through the rough patches.
So I have NO MORE:
Memory loss (significant - was tested for Dementia)
Confusion (had to see a Neurologist and Psychologist)
Backache (had to see a Chiropractor)
(again the psychologist)
Sore muscles (tested for fibro m...)
extreme fatigue (tested for chronic fatigue syndrome)
weight gain (gained 25 lb./6 months) 0 more to lose to be where I was before Mirena.
Hair loss (finially stopped falling out - took alot of time, now it's growing!)
Despair (gone! thought I was dying) GONE GONE GONE
