I actually only recently learned I was anemic, so I was just addressing the heavy bleeding. Amazingly, my blood counts are only slightly below normal and most of the time I don't feel too bad, not as bad as most people with an iron level of 11 or less would feel. My blood counts have been slightly below normal for years, but only a few weeks ago did a doctor order an iron level and I was shocked to see just how low it really was and am thankful I don't have more symptoms. Anyway, so now I have to get those iron counts up. I am looking at molasses and broccoli and more red meat. I can't do grains very well or cereal at all (blood Sugar
issues and celiac). I also don't tolerate iron pills at all. So it is a little difficult.
