Activated charcoal is the best way I know of to quickly relieve intestinal gas. You *should* be able to buy it in any drug store/pharmacy, but that's not always the case.

Get the powder, or powder the tables/empty the capsules. Mix it with juice (or water) - it has absolutely no taste. The only possible 'side effect' is that it can be constipating...but if one drinks ample water with every dose, that rarely happens.

But 'relief' happens almost immediately :)

Peppermint tea is also good, but I don't think it works as quickly.

My bloating lasted quite a while, a few weeks. It was caused by a viral infection, which was subdued by drugs, but ultimately the only thing that got rid of it was a good parasite cleanse, I used Humaworm.

Don't know if you have the same problem as me or you only had food that disagreed with you, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.
