I also have had major motion sickness when in the car of which I never had before getting the mirena. I am 9 months post removal and I still get motion sickness on windy roads even if I am driving...I just roll down the windows and try to breath in lots of fresh air...The nausea goes away soon after stopping for me. I think it is definitely the mirena. I did not have noticeable sinus problems, however when my naturopathic doctor did biosets on me he always tracked something in my sinuses...
After many months and lots of money, my acupuncturist figured out that my largest weakness was in the gallbladder channel. Which makes complete sense now reading about it and the fact that whenever I had insomnia I had severe pain between my shoulder blades. I think the key point that the mirena effects which then starts to create problems in other places is the gall bladder (which can be related to sinus, nausea, back/abdominal/leg pain, hormone imbalance, insomnia, headaches, and then effects endocrine, kidney, adrenal, heart, anxiety, emotions (particularly of fear/anger/strong emotions)...
Mirena is a toxin, it poisons us literally and as the liver-gallbladder try to clean out the toxin and can't all of these other problems arrise. This may explain why different people react at different times (or some not at all) to the mirena depending on the health of their liver-gallbladder. I wish I had figured this all out a long time ago...it took me almost a year of suffering before I even found this website which saved my life...I wish you the best of luck!
