Apples and oranges. Totally different things in chemistry and the way they work. SWF works in a gentle manner because the mix is the same specific gravity as blood and the body doesn't absorb it. Epsom is a fairly harsh chemical reaction that the system reacts to it like a poison drawing water to the intestines to flush it out. It is very dehydrating and should never be done when fasting
Have you ever actually tasted Epsom Salts??? I ask cause I find it hard to believe that anyone would call a little salty water "disgusting" compared to the taste of Epsom salts.
The salt needs to be "in solution" for it to work and be in the proper ratio mix so the body won't absorb it. So NO caps. What many of the folks that whine about the SWF do is mix 2 teaspoon of the salt in 8 oz of water and slam that and chase with 24 oz of plain water.
The kind of salt you use can make all the difference in the world taste wise. My fave and a fave around these here parts is the grey Celtic Sea Salt. Muuuuuuch mellower than any of the processed white "sea salts". CSS is just evaporated sea water. Other have mentioned Redmonds Real Salt and the pink Himalayan. Those salts are mined from ancient sea deposits.
