How do you folks remove the stains from your juicer parts? I know you're supposed to soak the parts in a sink filled with water, but what's the best thing to pour into the water? I've tried everything, and nothing works. The only thing that'll remove the stains is Javex bleach. But how safe is that stuff? I fill up my sink with the juicer parts, and pour in 1/4 cup bleach, and let it sit overnight. It really works, and removes the stains off the parts. But the bleach stinks up my apartment. Is it safe to inhale that smell? And my juicer parts will smell like bleach for days. Is bleach safe to use?- Re: Cleaning your juicer Hermit

This is a reply to # 132,008I use white distilled vinegar to clean my water distiller. Maybe you could try that. It is fairly cheap to buy.

Stain Zapper - Colored stains and mineral deposits on parts may arise from normal usage of our juicers. To remove color stains and mineral deposits, try the following.
Ingredients:
4 tablespoon of Baking Soda
2 cups (16 oz) of lukewarm water
Soak the parts in the solution of water and baking soda overnight to loosen the mineral deposit, and to remove the colored stains. Wash with soap and water, and use a hard bristled brush to remove mineral deposit. Wipe with cloth to dry. - Re: Cleaning your juicer......The be... petar

This is a reply to # 132,008Mark, Put about 8 tablespoons of Cascade or or any other dish washing detergent in a large stainless steel pot( the best) or your sink and fill with just enough cold water to cover the parts to clean. Soak for at least 8 hours or overnight.It will clean spinach, parsley and other stains. Acme Juicer recommended it 35 years ago. I'do it and it works.If you want a good centrifical juicer get a Acme 6001 or the similar Omega with a stanless steel top, bowl and strainer. You can use paper filters to line the strainer not clog it and is easier to clean.
