Don't panic ;) its been stated before, my worst day post removal is better than my best day with it it! Its kinda hard to tell you whats to come, since we are all different. But you WILL get better, it just takes time......
I would stay away from the birth control pills, unless absolutely neccessary. they are just more of the same (sythetic hormones), the only difference being they usually include estrogen in the mix, so you might not get as imbalanced. I really like the progesterone cream- read up on it here-this guy was top of the game.
You have to make sure you get the right mix and apply it properly, or it wont do much good. I also do cardio and yoga, eat a healthy diet, and take high end supplements. also, watch caffeine and alcohol, as they can upset your balance as well. (dont think you have to do all of that, but try and work a little of what sounds easiest into your routine.) If nothing else, Mirena got me into a much healthier lifestyle.
One of the other gals brought up a good point about hormone testing-its not going to give you much info until you have cycled a few times-your estogen/progesterone ratios will fluctuate majorly over a month, and you have no way of know where they are "suposed" to be at until you get regular.
I am a little over 2 months post removal. 2 cycles past, and I have to tell you, I havent felt this good in ages. I do expect when my period comes back, in about a week, i will feel lousey again (that's how its going for me) but it gets better each time. Some of us feel better right away, some get better, crash, and get better, and unfortunately, some take longer. keep posting, and the ladies here will take you through it. best wishes-Mamaj
