Wings: We're vegan. We don't eat chickens. We don't eat meat at all. This is a vegan cooking show.

Wings: Well, meat has absolutely no fiber in it and takes forever to digest. It gets into our colons and just sits there. It sits there and ROTS, and after a while all that rotting meat starts to form ulcers and cancers and things. Plus we want to be kinder to the planet, and treat God's creatures with respect.
Chicken: Aaaawwwwwwk....
Wings: Do you mind if I teach you how to make something?

Wings: Sure! It'll be fun. And it's so easy any dumb cluck can do it.

Dr. Richard Schulze 's Original Superfood Smoothie Drink
In a blender or Vitamix place:
8 ounces fresh-squeezed fruit juice
(or less if the Sugar content doesn't agree with you. Some people may find apple juice suits them better than citrus juices, and is less drying to the skin)
8 ounces or more of distilled or pure water
1/2 to 1 cup of fresh seasonal fruit
2 ounces of Superfood (that comes to about 2 heaping tablespoons)
If adding fruit to a Superfood mixture gives you too much sugar, you can mix the Superfood in water, or in carrot juice or other juices.
Feel free to add ground flaxseed (organic golden flax), flax oil, or any other kind of plant oil to your smoothie.
Drink at least two of these smoothies every day, whether you are juice fasting or not.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,389,122So it is ok to have ground flax seeds and or flax oil, during a juice fast? I have actually been doing the Budwig Protocol, off and on, for a while, so I've been taking 4 tbs. a day of ground seeds. I say off and on because when I got stressed I would revert back to junk food and overeating. I realize that talking about my eating problems makes some think I must be a woman also. Actually studies show a growing number of men with the same problems, they just don't talk about.
What do you all think of Budwig as a healing protocol? I was planning on switching to Schulze's program, if I can manage it, but it would be nice to keep doing the flax sometimes.Advertisement

Ingredients: organic Flax seed ( Linum usitatissimum ), Apple Fruit Pectin, Pharmaceutical Grade Bentonite Clay, Psyllium seed and husk ( Plantago Species), WildCrafted Slippery Elm inner bark (Ulmus flilva), Organic Marshmallow root ( Althea officinalis), Organic Fennel seed ( Foeniculum vulgare ) and Activated Willow charcoal ( Salix alba).
Budwig? As an adjunct protocol for curing cancer (with other non Schulze/Christopher protocols), I think it might be beneficial.
For a full body restoration and addressing the root cause of our issues? not so much.
Schulze is a 'no additional oil on the Incurables Program' kinda dude (but one gets LOTS of olive oil). Christopher included olive oil & wheat germ oil daily, and daily full body rubs of olive, wheat, and castor oils. Gerson allowed NO oils for a long time, and then finally added a tablespoon of flaxseed oil daily.
I'd guess Christopher practiced in a time when flax seed oil was readily available and researched (at least as I understand it currently, I could be wrong). And I don't know about Schulze.
Would a tablespoon of flaxseed oil hurt the entire protocol? I honestly can't see how. It's my job to let people know how 'they' did it and put it all together - I don't feel capable of making decisions or advising on 'the oils' as an addition to their protocols. Whatever you do, I suggest to 'keep it light'...and of course, ditch the cottage cheese. (My Depression returns rapidly without daily EPA/DHA - I use fish oil)
