Your dose for ALA is not often enough, at least every 3 hours that includes at night if you aren't taking DMSA.
Of course the big issue with ALA is that it may stir up more then it can bind and that includes Lead.
If you can't get DMSA or even EDTA (but more complicated) then go back to lower doses of ALA and skip the rest.
I would not go against Andy Cutler on this, he simply sees to many people to not have a reason for his preaching:
