MoreThis is a reply to # 1,473,772i think changes for better or worse during pregnancy can throw a wrench in things. i think supping Iodine while pregnant is a great idea. i wouldnt change a thing at this point. any amount under 50mg should keep detox at bay and allow the process to go forward normally.
i dont know if youre lucky or smart or blessed by god or all three. i am happy for you.

I have followed up one young mother with Iodine during her pregnancy and breastfeeding; It is about the same dosage as yours.
I see the very same thing; the boy is very alert and bright; He is not vaccinated (as I recall you didnt either)
and what she says is that the boy has much less infections compared to others of the same age.

This is a reply to # 1,473,828Yes, I am blessed of God. I feel great which I am so thankful for. My son is so fast and getting into everything, I have to keep up with him.
I think I took about 12.5 mg daily with my last pregnancy, some days I dropped down to half. So I guess it would probably be fine to do that again. I am just a bit cautious especially after reading about warthog's baby with thyroid issues. That is the last thing I want, was there ever any consensus regarding the cause?
However, since I don't take my kids to the doctor unless there are obvious issues that i can't resolve, thyroid issues would probably be undetected.
Trapper, I would absolutely love to take up to 50 mg daily. When i took that dose in the past, i felt absolutely amazing and i had no problems with my allergies. My allergies are flared up and just now i took 25 mg, the first time i've upped my dose since i found out i was pregnant. I don't want to cause problems though and i've never heard of anyone taking 50 mg during pregnancy.

The baby growing inside of [you] will ONLY take what he/she needs; any extra will be used by [YOUR] body (if it needs it) and eliminated if [your] body does not.
That's pretty darn close to how I 'received' the information, so, no, I didn't read it from a book. It felt important to tell you, and like I would be 'wrong' if I didn't tell you.

I was at a birthday party yesterday. Our young neighbor turns 1 on Tuesday. He's so darn cute - I keep trying to tell his mom about iodine, but...
...oh it breaks my heart - I'm SO happy you have such a healthy iodinated child.
Enjoy that pregnancy. I LOVED being pregnant.

This is a reply to # 1,473,973Thanks High on Water...It makes sense. I truly think that i could go up on my dose, especially since I am breastfeeding and so taking Iodine for three. One drop a day isn't very much for the three of us.
