Malic acid in apples is what softens stones. Instead of apple juice anything with malic acid would do the same job. I take apple cider vinegar, it is just as effective. I have diabetes and cannot take large quantities of apple juice as it has too much sugar.

You can take anything with Malic Acid. Whenever I do a liver cleanse, I reluctantly drink organic apple juice. But I can't stand the taste of it. I also try to get organic apple juice that looks a little darker/cloudier, with low sugar. Which may be why it doesn't taste good.
