It all depends on the cause of the hypothyroidism. Low adrenal function is only one of many causes of hypothyroidism. If you have other symptoms of low adrenal function (allergies/asthma, autoimmune disorders, chronically low blood pressure or orthostatic hypotension, chronic hypoglycemia, etc.) then I would focus on the adrenals first since this will likely be the cause of the thyroid dysfunction. Other wise it does not really matter.
What about Candida? Could this cause Adrenal problems which are causing Thyroid problems?
Not likely since Candida RARELY goes systemic. Weak adrenals though will suppress the immune system though, which can lead to increased Candida growth.
Symptoms are extreme brain fog, low energy feel real sluggish, super slow metabolism, feeling dehydrated most of the time, muscle weakness, shallow breathing and allergies. The few times I do have energy it tends to burn off really quick. I thought this was due to my metobolism because I thought my metabolism was my energy "storehouse".
Basically my body won't do what my mind tells it too. They don't work together as a unit.
These symptoms indicate both adrenal and thyroid dysfunction.
