MissW
I'm not sure if I have thyroid or adrenal issues but I need to address this. Am actually better (although not 100%) since I started adding adrenal glandulars (not adaptogenic herbs, but glandulars) and thyroid supplements and supporting supplements (think Zinc, etc) to my extensive supplementation regimen. I've also cut out gluten and sugar. Have always eaten organically. This was the weekend of Thanksgiving and I am much much better, yet still not perfect.
Symptoms:
Dry skin (so bad on legs that they bleed sometimes from scratching)
Inability to lose weight (this in spite of working out and eating inside my caloric needs)
Fatigue post-meals. Evening fatigue, although much less than before.
Heavy menstrual cycle/fibroids. Although this is actually much better too. Not perfect, but better.
Stuff that has improved markedly:
My brain fog is gone. I had it so bad before Thanksgiving that I would forget the names of people that I'd known since I was a child, while standing in the same room speaking to them.
My body temp is up too. From an average of 96.6 to normal.
Oddly, I am never sick (knock wood, ha). I just want to feel totally better and don't know how to refine this journey to do so. Not a big fan of allopathic medicine. Any ideas where to turn? How to start? I read all of the recommended posts at the top of this forum but I am, if anything, a little more confused.
Thanks!
