I used French clays and others for a few months. For me it was to drying; to skin and bowels. I became constipated with terrible dry skin. No positive outcome I know of.
A better option for me is chlorella algae and DE, they have similar detox effect, but not drying.
I would take a spoon or two of clay if I had a serious diarrhea though.
I also like it for topical use. Great as a facial mask or cleansing cream; I then mix the clay with water and coconut oil and whip it until creamy.
