Now that I've actually managed to survive chemo, I have a couple of vanity questions for you. I am now growing hair, but it's coming back coarse and dark...with too much gray. I've always been a redhead, so looking in the mirror gives me a shock. (It's better than the bald head, though!) Is this change due to toxins coming out?
It would be from the chemo damaging the pigment cells.
Is there anything I can do to safely move this process along, besides continuing cleanses on a periodic basis? I miss the thick red hair, especially in this cold weather.
A couple of supplements that can help are the herb fo ti (he shou wu), and the supplements MSM (a sulfur source) and tyrosine (an amino acid).
My skin has also aged dramatically around my eyes and mouth. I look like I've aged 10-15 years in 10 months. Is there anything I can do topically to reverse this?
Skin issues are best treated internally. The silica will help but vitamin C is also essential. Again go for natural sources as much as possible such as watercress, papaya, kiwis, berries, amla, nettle leaf, acerola cherry, etc.
I have gotten some DE, and am drinking that in, as suggested. Is there any need to worry about DE building up in the liver or kidneys or other?
No, any excess will pass through the body.
