Sorry you're sick and miserable. I know how exhausting coughing can be. Ginger might be better for your recovery than Epsom Salts
. It stimulates circulation, which you need to help your body fight the virus. You can drink it in tea and use it in your bath as well. Warm you inside and out. It also soothes the throat and stimulates digestion.
For the tea, boil 1 Tbs grated ginger in 12 oz
pure water for 20 minutes. Strain and drink with a tsp of honey.
For the bath, you'll need about 1/2 cup of grated fresh ginger, a clean bed sheet and a couple towels. The idea is to take a hot bath in ginger, staying in the water 45 minutes, warming the water as it cools. Sip ginger tea while soaking. You need to break a good sweat.
When you get out of the bath, wrap a towel around your head, quickly dry your body, wrap up in the sheet and go right to bed. Cover up with lots of blankets and let yourself sweat for at least 30 minutes. When you stop sweating, remove the towel from your head and the sheet from your body. You'll sleep like a baby.
