The mirena coil has ruined my life,im only 32 and i had it in to treat my endometriosis,i had the coil in about seven/eight weeks in total,all my joints became inflammed,my esr went up,i have had several joint swellings that have been drained and injected with steroids,i have been started on some toxic drugs for Rheumatoid Arthritis ,none of which has worked so far.The mirena has been out my body 10 months now and im scared the damage is permanent.Before the mirena i had no joint pains and have no family history of Ra.I have not been able to work for six months due to reduced mobility,i can hardly walk some days.Im confined to my house most of the time,i wish i could press a button and erase the last year of my life.Im very depressed about all this and cry most days,i just want to be normal again.im awaiting the blood sample kit for the silcone reaction along with the saliva test for progesterone to be sent to me from acumen.My doctor has said even if it is a silicone reaction,there is no way to treat it,i hope this is not the case.
