Since the summer I had a bigger toe nail fungus. It was about 1/4 of the nail and a huge hole or the emptiness under it. I think it is common with nail fungus as the fungus eats the skin beneath the nail ?
My cure is simple - I stopped eating all sugar. Sugar in forms as honey, fruits, vegetables and everything else and the nail fungus took only about two weeks to be cured complitely. I don't know if it is right to say cure as whenever I eat honey or sugary fruit like dried dates, it returns. But eating all meat and fat has become my lifestyle.

This is a reply to # 1,619,334I also cured my toenail fungus - with oil of oreganol. I used a dropper to place a couple of (undiluted) drops under the nail. Once or twice and it was cured. Of course, it took a while for the nail to grow out and look healthy again.
I also used diluted oil of oreganol to cure an red, sore fungal infection in my armpits. This was likely candida. Again, one application and it was gone.
Note: I eat very little Sugar since I use NuStevia in everything.
My granddaughter had an oozing sore on her leg that would not heal. It was also cured with oil of oreganol and tea tree diluted in almond oil.- Re: I cured my nail fungus. lilpolock

I've been using olive leaf-oil of oregano which I got on-line from One With Nature on my toe nails.
The burning pain stopped after about 3 days.
Now I'm going on my 3rd week and pain in that big toe has returned. It's not as bad as it was, more of a sore feeling combined with tingly sensations, but I'm dismayed at feeling it.
Just wondering if you, or anyone else has had this happen.
Do you ever switch what you treat with, so the fungus doesn't become resistant?
I usually treat once in the am and again before bed.

This is a reply to # 1,619,334A physician's assistant gave me this treatment and it worked: He told me to soak my toes in solution of 6 parts water to 1 part bleach every day. After the soak, file down the nail completely to the skin. You can then apply an over-the-counter polish to the nails called cliclopirox Topical Solution, 8 %, but be sure the nails are dry first. He told me to do this faithfully for 3-4 months, which I did. The fungus cleared up and hasn't returned yet. I did not have the fungus so bad that mynails were deformed so am not sure how long it would take for a severe case, but my PA insisted this treatment would cure anybody's. The key is FILING the NAIL every single time. I just used good ole cardboard emery boards. Whole treatment very cheap, and you're not harming your insides!

I know a lot of people are able to cure their fungus with over the counter drugs but in some casses the fungus has become such a serious issue that laser treatment is the only option. I have personally used and also my family member with diabetes used the "No Soak Method" for Onychomycosis or toenail fungus. Everyone's body is different, so you need to find what works for you. This seems to work with most people who try it though. Remember that new clear toenail takes time to grow, but you should start seeing new growth within 6 weeks.
