Is there anything that will help the stiffness that I feel?
Maybe a raw diet? JK!! I had to add that just to prove I haven't lost my sense of humor!
There is a good reason they call it a DIEt.
Seriously though, I've been taking a shot of wheatgrass a day at the suggestion of my chiropractor... they say that is the equivalent of 2.5 pounds of fresh vegetables in addition to eating a lot of fresh raw fruits and (some steamed) vegetables. It doesn't seem to be helping. I always thought diet could fix anything.
I don't like this feeling of stiffness - is there anything that can be done? I do some exercises that the chiropractor said I could do.
I'm still taking the herbs, and supplements, at least 3 T. of flaxseed oil in cottage cheese and
Still no pain. Just this stiffness. (And shakiness, and it's really hard to get up from a seated position and I bawl at comercials! There is more I'm sure.
What exactly is stiff? The muscles? Tendons and ligaments? What part of the body?
I think it's my muscles - the neck and shoulders and my body. I can't tell for sure. warm showers and massage feels good. The excersizes that I do help some.
Kudzu root is really good for relaxing the neck and shoulder muscles. If you do the powder I recommend 1/3-1/2 teaspoon 3 times daily at least 20 minutes before meals. If you are prone to low blood pressure it is best to try lower doses first since it can also lower blood pressure.
Otherwise magnesium malate is also a great muscle relaxant.
How safe is it to take long term...for multi years?
Are there any interactions with any other herbs?
Both kudzu and magnesium malate are safe for long term use. And kudzu can be combined with other herbs. The only thing to watch for is combining it with other herbs that lower blood pressure if you are prone to low blood pressure.
