I started Dr. Lam's program 3 weeks ago. They took me off any ginseng and my B complex and my L'Glutamine because they want to de-stimulate the adrenals, give them a rest from as many stimulants as possible, caffeine, suger, dairy, alcohol and the list goes on to include lifestyle changes too. I suppose the length of time depends upon how you are doing. I noticed a difference in that I felt an inner physical relaxation, which is what I think is the goal. However, without stimulants I have very very little energy, most days 30-40% of my normal capacity. The challenge is building on that and avoiding the crashes which slows you more or even makes you worse.
My story is very similar to almost everyone's here. I've spent hours here reading the different posts and it's very educational with many great links. And you can ask Dr Lam for free. I suggest reading Dr. Lawrence Wilson too. Search and Ye shall find much on the internet.
I suggest taking it easy, 1 day at a time. Find out where you are, educate yourself before you blow your money and possibly slow your recovery. SLOW DOWN and GROUND yourself. Learn to listen to your body and keep a health journal.
