Hi. Here is my question...I have been working out heavily with weights the past two weeks. I felt no pain during the process. Last Saturday night I went out and had a lot to drink. I woke up Sunday morning, was laying in bed and when I turned my torso I felt an instant massive pain in my back rib cage area. It caused me to yell out. My girlfriend massaged it and said she could feel a lump. When she used her finger to push down on the exact spot the pain was intense. I assumed it was a pulled muscle in my rib cage area, though I didn't feel anything while working out. It started to get better day by day. It was almost gone by Wednesday. On Wednesday night I went out and had several drinks. On Thursday morning I was on a ladder and reaching above my head and let out a powerful sneeze. The back pain was excruciating and set me back beyond square one. It now hurts when I lightly cough or take a deep breath. Thinking more about this I'm getting paranoid that it could be pancreatitis. I was taking Prilosec 40MG 2x a day for a week prior to this and felt a lot of bloating. I stopped taking it. On Thursday morning I had severe lightning bolt pains during a bowel movement which I've never experienced before. I attributed it to the Prilosec. I am 42 and do have a drinking history but I do not have front abdominal pain, I'm not nauseous and I have no temperature. I actually feel pretty good except for the constant back pain. Could this be pancreatitis and not a pulled muscle?
