Hello there, LBP.
Yes, the ingredients in Candidate are Lemon grass, pot marigold, and Pau d'arco bark. I know this sounds like a limited list, and I have no idea how they work to lessen the die-off symptoms, but I do know it works, or it certainly did for me, and the best part is it works faster than anything I could have imagined.
I can promise you that this product did not make the die-off I was having worse, if that was the case, I would have stopped it immediately, but instead, I continued taking it for several weeks, and still take it occasionally.
I know that the Pau d'arco is known for its ability to remove toxins from the body, and marigold does the same.
The lemon grass is supposed to balance the levels of bacteria in our system as well as detoxify the pancreas, kidney, liver, bladder and our digestive tract.
Apparently, the three of these together in tincture form are able to do what is needed to control die-off.
The Molybdenum I have was manufactured by HVL, Inc. out of Pittsburgh. I bought it at our local Vitamin Shoppe, and it wasn't at all expensive. Each table contains 250 mcg, and I was taking three tablets a day during my worst die-off periods. Now, as a maintenance dosage, I'm taking 1 to 2 tablets a day, if I remember to and the Candidate occasionally when I think about it.
As far as how I overcame the worst part of the infestation, I think that at one point I was on the verge of doing this because I was already taking high doses of probiotics and feeling better. But then I added the digestive enzymes, which ultimately made it all worse.
Then I switched to Grape Bitters and discontinued the enzymes, added Burdock and Hawthorn Berries to my regimen, and I started improving almost immediately. (The Burdock and Hawthorn are two herbs that can feed the flora)
As far as making my system more acidic, I believe that what I've done is caused more of a balance between the alkaline and acidic, balancing my pH, which I now believe is necessary for curing the infestation.
I'll be happy to answer more of yours or anyone else's questions.
Thanks, and good luck, Helmax
