It helps to keep body temp+metabolism up. Eskimoes and warriors also developed unique flora to adapt to the high meat+fat diets. If your digestion is not used to a vegan diet it is going to throw it off because it takes time for your body(flora+digestive tract) to adjust. Extreme diet changes should be gradual. Unfortunately, candida limits our diet. Dont listen to all the quackery extreme diets. Put on the shoes that fit you and make up the diet that best works for you. Everyones flora make-up can be slightly different.
