Hi everyone. I have decided it is time to fast again, and I do believe I am psychologically ready to attempt to do this. I am going to begin my preparation for the fast on Monday. I have decided to prepare by switching to raw fruits and veggies only for the ten days leading up to my fast. I will then attempt a water only fast for 21 days. I have varied reasons for wanting to fast, among them are to overcome both food and tobacco addictions and to heal some stomach pain that I have had intermittantly for the past 20 years. No cause has ever been determined for that pain. Any weight-loss incurred during this time will be a welcome bonus, as I find myself with that middle-aged "creep". I was always normal weight my entire life, as I hit my 30's the weight insidiously just kept creeping upwards and I now find myself weighing an unacceptable (to me) 165 pounds
at 42 years of age and standing 5'3". My normal weight was always between 122-127 pounds. I would love to see myself back there, but realistically I would settle for 135.
So...does this sound doable? I do work part-time (in a restaurant no less) and I am going to college full-time.
Does the preparation phase sound reasonable? I do eat fairly well, nutrition-wise.
Sorry so long, any ideas, suggestions or buddies welcome!
