i tried regular supermarket peanut oil and fried up some stuff in it. not good. had the typical feeling of sluggishiness after using bad oils.
a few weeks later i found some red palm oil at an indian store.

i was pleasantly surprised. it tastes like toes raw out of the bottle, but when cooked it's quite good. no results yet with the gall bladder but frying in it feels clean.
