Since dealing with Candida, I never want to get out of bed in the morning, but this morning I just felt like I wanted to die. I had an overwhelming, powerful sense of depression, guilt, sadness, weakness, anxiety. I just feel like giving up. Every day is a battle, and I'm too young to be feeling this old. I have been housebound for far too long. It's hard for me to tell when I'm making things better or worse because of the die-off. I already feel like I'm dying, so what's the point of holding on? I just don't see a point in fighting for my life, when I don't even have one. I've already lost everything. Health, beauty, friends, boyfriend of 5 years, school, on the verge of losing this house. Most importantly, I've lost myself.
I need to know if this is die-off or if I'm just getting worse. I just don't know what to do anymore.
For only almost a week now I've adapted a new "protocol". I've been taking:
Nystatin 500,000u
Vitamin C 4,000mg throughout
Vitamin E 400iu
Omega 3 1,000mg
Zinc 25mg
CoQ10 100mg
Solgar Herbal Liver
IntestiNew (has L-glutamine and such, for Leaky Gut)
I've been alternating coffee enemas and infrared sauna sessions for a week or two to help detox. But due to my lady monthly I can't do a sauna right now (read you're not supposed to) and due to feeling extremely cold (I think it has to do with my thyroid) after most coffee enemas I don't think I should do that right now neither, at least until I get some thyroid support and/or tests done. I also have a feeling I was starting to detox too quickly (?) and my body couldn't handle it...
I added that to the things I've already been taking:
Virgin Coconut Oil 4-7 tablespoons
Garlic 3 cloves x2-3 a week
Onions every day
Vitamin B
Vitamin D 4,000iu
Milk Thistle 150mg
Evening Primrose Oil
Probiotics
I have been on a strict anti-Candida diet since November of last year but was stupid and wasn't really doing anything in addition to actively kill it.
My new symptoms since starting this new protocol: cold spells (my temperature has dropped down to 95.5 being the lowest), internally burning skin, under eye bags (at first was just circles), unexplained numbness in one knee, vivid dreams
My existing symptoms that have worsened: abdominal pain, Acne (which leave behind pock marks), ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, drowsiness, fatigue, hives and rashes, irritability, skin sensitivity, lack of concentration, mood swings, dizziness, headaches, weight loss
My existing symptoms that have gotten better: bloating, constipation, that's about it
My existing symptoms that have not really changed: belching, bad breath, blurry vision, frequent urination, hair loss and breakage (although it seems like it has worsened since it's on-going and hasn't grown back), itchy ears, muscle aches
So I'm pretty much a good example of severe Candida overgrowth. According to my naturopath I have Candida 3+ out of 4, 4 being the worst. I also have parasites 1 out of 4, but that's expected with my compromised immune system. I have been expelling some with my coffee enemas. Unfortunately due to lack of money and transport I can no longer be guided by this naturopath.
I'm posting this in multiple forums because I need all the help I can get. Please no negativity.

This is a reply to # 1,922,030No I would say it's just a worsening of candida because you are on the wrong diet and consuming coconut oil. I would be glad to help in any way. I gave lots of advice on how I turned things around but I didn't get much reply back. I would be very sick too if I was on your protocol. I've been there. No thyroid, no hormones, rashes all over and horrible fatigue.
Try to see where I am coming from. I see you hurting yourself and I know exactly why you are hurting, you ask for help and then I don't get a reply or anything. Meanwhile I am a few weeks rash free now and getting things back in order and my experience isn't of any value to you...or the experts that I provided.

We have expert after expert saying to do this....stop the fat and proteins and get your digestion back. Weight gain is something to worry about 10 days from now when you are feeling better.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,922,037I'm sorry, but I did reply to you. I said what I had to say, but you kept repeating yourself. I'm on the anti-Candida diet, I do eat lots of fiber. I just include oils and meat. I have problems digesting raw vegetables, and my symptoms worsen, unlike you. I also do not have the money to be getting enough vegetables to get enough calories, so I would be extremely malnourished on top of dropping weight. I live with 5 other people, and we're on the verge of losing this house, so I can't buy loads of vegetables to fill me up just for myself. And the vegetables you've mentioned (ie raw spinach) is no good for someone with thyroid problems. And you mention white potatoes? Horrible for systemic Candida. By the way, I said no negativity please, that's the last thing I need right now. And your post before you went back and edited it sounded rude. So if you have nothing positive to say then please don't say it at all. Thanks. Have fun at the gym.

This is a reply to # 1,922,046I message you because I am verrrry worried and think that you have been getting advice from the wrong people. Your posts are me last year before I had to move in with my parents and revert to a job that I left 4 years earlier. No matter how much we argue back and forth...the relationship between fat and candida will always be there. And why did I keep repeating myself? Not surprisingly a week later, I see your post about still continuing the coconut oil and still feeling like *&^%. To me it says I didn't repeat myself enough or provide enough information.
The worst thing for thyroid problems is candida, not spinach. And you guarantee candida thriving with coconut oil. Most people with candida get hypothyroid. So I don't get how you are the case of a person who can not handle candida's cure: leafy greens.
Today I ate mashed potatoes with roasted garlic and chicken broth, spinach, broccoli, and white rice. There were enough calories for weight gain. The carbs were digested because the digestive system was not bogged down with protein and fat. I am not making these theories up and I hope more people contribute to your threads. My parents are eating a wonderful roast beef right now. I know if I even try a piece, the vegetables that I eat will be allowed to ferment. Candida requires a low fat vegan cleanse until you get perfect digestion back.
I assure you that my thyroid problems went away when I got on this vegan kick.
Carbohydrates are necessary and impossible to eliminate. White rice is one of the easiest foods to digest. And my diet is very cheap compared to any diet, especially one with jars of coconut oil....and a list of all kinds of remedies. Coconut oil which is impairing digestion by promoting disbiosis....so the food you do eat just goes through you. Good luck and hang in there. Don't get too depressed, its all chemical. I hope you can get over this quickly to get the homestay situation and everything back in order. The reasons why your situation is critical are exactly why I am taking this seriously. This is a reply to # 1,922,093What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Candida causes Depression and insanity. Candida loves oils and meat. I just got done doing yardwork and am making some potatoes and asparagus. It is high fiber and satisfying and I am gaining weight. Carbs and veggies seem scary, but you have never tried them on their own without meat and fats taking up all the digestive bacteria and enzymes. Carbs are energy and life, you can't eliminate them. Trying to is insanity like throwing oil on a fungus. Candida is a disease of the fat rich food eating world. People in ireland did fine on mostly potatoes until their crop failed. Eating easy to digest, light foods to cure digestive ailments is time tested and ancient...

Stop telling people here that candida feeds with coconut oil. That isn't correct. Coconut oil is an antifungal loaded with Carprylic Acid, Capryc Acid, and Lauric Acid.

This is a reply to # 1,922,559Sorry I'm gonna have to disagree. Coconut oil made me just as sick as SillyLilly. If it's such a cure, then why am I better and she's still sick? If dieters are eliminating avocadoes to get rid of candida, then swallowing oil is a no brainer.
These are 4 people that listening to them allowed me a cure. Fat is just as bad as fructose for candida sufferers.

This is a reply to # 1,922,971Maybe that's why your battle has been going on since 2008. Look into it in a few more years if you figure out that a supressed liver doesn't digest fat properly and intestinal disbiosis is a real condition that is responsible for all the interest in probiotics.

This is a reply to # 1,922,983Just came across this conversation as I am now 2 1/2 weeks into my Candida diet. I am following the "Ultimate Candida diet plan". I have a die-off rash on my face, itchy skin and feel very irritable and depressed. I also just stoped taking cymbalta that I was on for 3 1/2 years. Not sure if I feel like this due to the diet or the weaning off the cymbalta or a combination of the two? But it has to stop! This can not continue! It is not good for me, and it effects my husband and most of all my presious children! I have to be happy again, be able to smile, laugh and control my anger and crying. This part has been going on for about a week now. Perhaps I need to focus more on the no meats, oils and fat rather than no grains, sugars, dairy and fruits? Can I eat chicken though? I really don't want to go back on the toxic medication (Cymbalta) and want to fix my Candida overgrowth naturally.... Suggestions?

This is a reply to # 1,922,199I disagree with that. Symptom free people are also on here wanting to say how they did it. I'm posting youtube clips of experts and sharing how it helped me. Prisons have former inmates come in and speak and motivate. I guess if you have a negative candida infected brain none of this matters and there never is a solution. Maybe you could use some of your knowledege on beneficial bacteria and explain to this poster why they need to stop downing oils instead of ranting about the use of curezone.

This is a reply to # 1,922,199Will all due respect... Yes we might come here because we have problems. But atleast we can admit that we have problems and experiement with different remedies. Some actually work and we feel better. This is a support group and we share things that work. It is up to the individual to test it out and see if it works for them. Nothing mentioned in these forums is intended to hurt anyone and the chances of small doses of herbs, good dietary habits and probiotics killing someone is next to nil.... If you continue to feel worse then change your protocol. Take someone else's advice and try something different. The good thing about groups like this is that eventually we all help to shape a list of remedies that should work for most.
I went to doctors for years and got nowhere. The best advice I get is from people practicing a healthy lifestyle, because we all know this is a work-in-progress. Everyone has issues, including doctors, some just can't admit it.
First step is admitting, next is improving. It didn't take 1 day to get into these states of illness..and you surely won't heal in 1 day. There is no miracle cure.
We have to help eachother and be forgiving of those who give us advice that doesn't work. You can get wrong advice anywhere in this world..there is no guaranteed cure for anything.
When people come to this forum they are taking a positive step towards healing..they are open to suggestions...So we need to give them suggestions that could potentially help. Telling them to go talk to a professional could potentially lead to a lot of money spent and no healing.

This is a reply to # 1,922,199If candida is your problem, take heart; I seem to have gotten it under control. I started with undeceleic acid for a couple of days, found that in spite of its reputation it still gave me a tough die-off, and switched to pentathine. Now, 6 weeks in total, I feel much better, and my spit test shows 1/3 of the previous amount of candida. I suspect I would now be considered within normal limits if I took another blood test. And I did not follow a strict candida diet.
Does that mean I'm all cured? Of course not. The multiple food allergies remain, and eating any of those foods will probably continue to make me sick until my gut heals. And I'll take the pantethine for at least a year, just to make sure everything's clear. But hey, after 4 years on the sofa, I'm becoming a functional human being again.
Don't be surprised that people who are completely out of the woods are not coming back to these forums. They are busy catching up on their lives.
P.S. SAM-E helped with mood and concentration during my illness and recovery.

This is a reply to # 1,968,490Candida seems to be connected with my multiple food allergies /sensitivities. If I eat the wrong food, I'm exhausted for 5 days, get fibromyalgia-type symptoms, brain fog, GI symptoms, blurry vision, etc., etc. The allergies are still there, but under control with a very restricted diet (anti-allergic diet, not anti-candida diet). It took me 4 years to figure out what I CAN eat. The allergies are still there, and will be until my gut heals. The part that drove me nuts was that I was allergic to most anti-candida supplements.
I need to make a correction to my previous post. I took undeceleic acid for 2 weeks, not two days. I'm sure it played a part in my candida reduction. I believe it works faster than the pantethine (I misspelled that in the previous post), so if you have some time when you don't have to function, you may want to try that. But I don't have time to take a few weeks off, so I just take the pantethine along with a B complex, because it uses up the other B vitamins. Sometimes I get nervous about not seeing the evidence of a die-off (as I understand it, it completely dissolves the candida and toxins), but when I try to add something else to help it, my head and kidneys start to hurt, which in my case means I'm killing off too much. Because it does apparently work, I have to be careful of eating foods that have the potential to kill candida.
Between the diet and the pantethine, I now function well most days. My mess ups are with overdoing anti-candida foods, but I'm learning to adjust those too. - Re: Feeling extremely, severely depr... Andreas112

I'm wondering how you doing right now on this lonley road. I myself are in the same sort of situation with my health and one thing that really really helped me was doing a igG lab test for foods. Results showed i have 63 food sensitivities inculding nuts, seeds en broccoli and i was eating that a lot before the test. Since i leave the foods in the red zone out of my diet my health came back maybe 50% Ocourse there is a underlying cause of why i have so many food sensitivities and that could be my Blastosystis hominis parasite. Could be To less oxygen on cellular level, could be heavy metals but what i suspect is it is a combination of al those factors. Anyway i hope you are still going strong. A Youtube video by dr Joseph smith doing a presentation in the 'silicon valley health institute helped me understand more about food sensitivities . This is a reply to # 1,922,046Step one is stop the fat and oils. I was at least managing the beast eating fat free fish and a ton of greens. Nobody is agreeing so I'll say it again and again. You said yourself the coconut oil makes you sick. It's screwing up your liver so nothing digests right. Furthermore this little problem you think you have with fresh vegetables is b--it and you have been getting bad advice. A vegetable based diet is the only cleanse. You have hypothyroid and digestive distress because of candida; not a diet rich in leafy greens. My advice is, live off greens for 3 days to clean house. And chose to add back starches like me or the leanest protein. Candida can't live off spinach and cod fish is cheap and won't fat up your intestines and liver. This will at least help clean out your brain and stop the insane depression.

I have cured myself from eating 6 tablespoons of coconut oil a day....this after doing heavy metal chelation for 11 months. Enough Said. I really think a heavy metal problem would be a much bigger burden on someones body than eating fats LOL....and you shouldn't be advising ppl to stop eating meat and then they'll be CURED....protein and good fats are absolutely essential to the body when they are battling the candida...And btw I have tried the sole vegetable diet before....I just felt extremely depleted...and I couldn't eat any good grain or carbs...any form of carb would put me out for days....until I went on a meat and vegetable and coconut oil ONLY diet....and did heavy metal chelation...and now I'm feeling pretty damn good...ready to eat whatever I want....
