I'm taking 300mg daily (Jarrow Formulas) — a half tablet. I was taking a full 600mg tablet daily but started to feel weird after a month. I had a hard time understanding and describing the weirdness even then, and now I just don't remember well enough to convey it. Maybe it was something about feeling "spacey".
I always take a lot of vitamin C. Currently I'm at a relative low, taking only 3g daily.
I did get the impression, though I didn't record/test this as well as I might have, that N-acetyl-L-cysteine was helping me a lot
. So I wonder if that means.
Maybe my body needed extra NAC to do something? Extra detox need? Extra anti-oxidant need?
Maybe my body wasn't making enough NAC? Underproduction due to system imbalance?
Maybe something was causing NAC to be destroyed?
Or maybe I just mistook the apparent benefit of taking NAC with the effects of other changes I made around the same time (testing zinc, testing manganese, changes in emotional stress, changes in breakfast cereal).
So I'd be interested in hearing if anyone else suffering from "Adrenal Fatigue" is experiencing benefits with NAC.
