I had to go out so I didn't actually see the show, just the preview at his site and was surprised to see a demonstration of OP during a weight loss segment. Did anybody here see the show?
Aside from that, I know OP works for detoxing, I've been having toxic thyroiditis attacks and during the first and most horrible one in desperation I decided to do OP (I normally do it only after getting up) and at the end of the 20 min. I felt better, I've done it during subsequent attacks and it helps me to calm down, I believe it's gotten rid of some of the excess thyroid hormone and/or adrenaline circulating through me at the time.
I started watching Dr. Oz when he was a just a special guest on Oprah several years ago, he seemed a refreshingly progressive kind of doctor at least compared to the rest and very interested in teaching people a lot about preventing illness, but later on I got a little tired of his conservative advice on several subjects, so eventually I stopped watching, I suppose that to be on TV he couldn't veer too far from allopathic medicine Then I stumbled onto his show again a couple of days ago and it seems he's continued to explore alternative medicine, he's even had segments about parasites and the remedies suggested were natural, so he has my respect for that even if he's "missed" it several times in the past and maybe is still conservative in some areas. I guess I'm going to have to do a search on his site to find out about that "firestorm" you're talking about.
I had been using VCO but that's a little expensive so I switched to an imported virgin sunflower oil I found at Walmart of all places. I believe the calming effect in my case was from getting rid of excess thyroid hormone and/or the toxins and free radicals generated by the stress the sudden surge creates.

Thanks for the input, the only thing is that I'm sure flax oil would get very costly and my funds are extremely low right now.
