the third link is Dr Brownstein talking about iodine, right near the end he talks about a woman he treated with Breast cancer. This was right after he started working with Iodine. So he gave her 100mg/day

the other docs told her she had about 6 months.
she lived for 5 more years and of course he gave her other stuff.....

but, he says his only regret is that didn't give her more iodine

she has to take the companions too: bottom of the page

i would start her at 1 drop and every few days bump her up if she doesn't detox too hard.

Gerson makes some sense to me.
although I am not a big fan of going vegetarian.
I am more of a fan of weston price: grassfed and pastured meats/fats.
but cleaning the liver makes tons of sense to me.

ie. I found out that runny nose, skin breakouts, itching, headaches, anxiety and getting really cold at times are all common detox symptoms that will go away in time while taking Iodine.

I have had several clients have some really cool changes: more energy, warmer, breasts softening, uterine fibroids shrinking, menstrual symptoms lessening and more. One of my clients starting sweating for the first time in her life. I shouldn't have been surprised, but the sweat glands need iodine to work properly. Even my girlfriends breasts softened after just 2 months on Iodine and her menstrual symptoms have lessened.

I of course have had full fledged detox symptoms like anxiety, metallic taste in mouth and more which have often gone away with a simple salt push: 1/4 -1/2tsp Sea Salt in 12-16 oz water.

Most people don't have any detox symptoms or they are pretty mild, but some percentage of people have some moderately to very strong detox symptoms so it can be important to have some familiarity with what these symptoms are and how to ameliorate them.

protocol:

titrate dosage up from 6.25mg of Lugol's (1 drop of 5% Lugol's) or Iodoral to 50mg if the detox isn't kicking your butt too bad.
At some point you might want to try 100mg
Dr. Flechas puts people with active cancer at 200mg

companion supplements:
400-600mg Magnesium Citrate or Malate
200-400mcg selenium in the form selenomethionine
B-complex
3 or more grams Vitamin C

Hi; in general I hesitate to give advice for Iodine when having cancer or/and using medication like these listed.
That is UNLESS she is very motivated to do a search and change in her life.
If she choose to take iodine, she will need selenium and all the companions!

The medication for reflux often inhibit mineral uptake as it neutralizes the stomach acids. Especially magnesium uptake and utilization.
She will need to take a serious look at these and decide what to do.
I have found it very difficult to give Iodine at the same time as medications, as it is hard to say what causes what. Especially when doctors are involved, as the pasient often end up in a dilemma of what to believe or not.
