My body is infected with Collembola mites. Out of desperation, I ozonate my skin (without water) using a water ozonator.
I treat the lower body this way: I step in a large garbage bag, put the ozone outlet tube in, and make the bag air tight by securing the bag by a belt or shoe string around the waist. After a few days, 8-10 hours a day, I get great purging results:
1. Parts of the feet have been peeling skin; also small red patches consisting of tiny red spots there (slightly itchy).
2. My ball and inner parts of the upper legs have very itchy red patches (super itchy when I am in steam sauna). New patches now appear in the front side of upper legs and they are expanding their territory.
3. The lower front of my foreskin has enlarged and is continuing to enlarge (not too uncomfortable though). I feel there is something spongy beneath that part of the foreskin. The front of my penis is like the front of a Boeing 747 when turned upside down. The leg areas just next to the ball have also expanded with something spongy beneath.
4. I experience increased tingling/biting sensation in the genital area. Not too much happened there before ozonating the skin. I think the mites were laying dormant there most of the time and the ozone is able to "smoke them out".
What is happening to the genital area (see item 3) is scary and I have stopped ozonating my lower body.
I appreaciate if someone can provide answers to the following.
1. What are the red patches? (Skin reaction to chemicals released by dead mites?)
2. Why has the foreskin enlarged and what is the spongy thing beneath the foreskin?
3. Should I continue the lower body treatment?

1. Swollen foreskin and itching/tingling on penis forehead. There is also some redness like some mites have burrowed in at that point
2. Testicles are also bit swollen, but not very uncomfortable
3. Sponginess in the pubic area
Applying Neosporin cream externally on top of the penis foreskin seems to brought the swelling down a bit on the foreskin
I have not yet treated my house for these mites which has got into pretty much everything. I am confused between using cedar oil or ozone shock treatment. I am in India and getting an ozone generator from US is expensive and will not be easy. There does not seem to be any surety with cedar oil spraying.
Is it safe to use ozone to treat the house? Will ozone affect the paint on the walls or leave any residue/smell in the house after shock treatment? Will ozone treatment get rid of these mites from cotton mattresses/pillows also?
Would be really helpful if you can provide answers as these mites have turned my family's lives upside down- Re: Ozonating the skin works, but ..... hunghung

This is a reply to # 2,106,175For the environment,use ozone shock treatment. It will get rid of the mites in mattresses and everything else.
Ozone shock treatment won't affect paint. The smell will go away in about 30 min after opening windows (O3 turns to O2 quickly). However, it will damage rubber (e.g. rubber bands). Before treatment, it is a good idea to cover expensive items (e.g. laptop) with plastic material. Make sure you are not inside the room when the ozone machine is on (hold your breath when turning off the machine and opening windows).
"these mites have turned my family's lives upside down": I know what it is like. You must get rid of them in the environment first. Otherwise, body treatment won't be effective because of reinfection.
Do you have any idea how the mites came to your home? When did you first notice home infestation?

I doubt whether I will be able to get an ozone generator from US given the cost, shipping charges, customs duty et al. How much did it cost you in total?
The infestation appears to have originated from a carton box which was kept near a sink in the previous apartment. Did not have a problem there as it was not much handled by me.
Some old stuff was put in the box and taken by myself and my wife to the new apartment(about 1 yr back). It affected a cot and mattress near which the box was kept. The problem was very localized until we sprayed the mattress with a neem based spray after which we started feeling it in the room. The problem became serious (about 3 weeks back) as we used a blanket and slept on a new mattress we bought and used on the old cot itself when we had guests. This immediately spread it to our bedroom when we used the blanket there
Our balcony area is also affected as we had kept the carton box there too for some time too. I get the crawling feeling from the balcony area (quite sunlit) and also feel small stinging sensation on the foreskin when I am in the balcony area.
Now have got rid of all mattresses and pillows in the house. We have found a new apartment to which we will move in 2 weeks.
The max output of ozone generator I can get in India is 2g/hr. Will it get rid of the problem? Otherwise, I am planning to take just the essentials and move out.

It makes the best and cheapest ozone generators and there is no need to do comparative shopping, saving you time. Mine generates 14000mg/hr ($393), but I think the cheaper one that generates 7000/mg/hr ($333)is good enough for you. However, the price difference is only $60 and it would be smart to spend the extra $60 on a much more powerful unit. Shipping from the US to India would be around $100. There is no need to throw away anything (e.g. mattresses) if you have the generator. Buy it as soon as possible since the mites multiply very quickly. (I'll give you tips on how to shock treat once you have the machine.)
Ozone generator is the solution for disinfecting the home and your belongings. If it is too difficult for you to get one, try an ionizer and see how the mites react. Also buy the 2g/hr generator and see if it gives result. Air conditioning and dehumidifying slow down the growth of the mites.
Moving to another apartment won't help since the mites are on your belongings. Also you will just pass the problem to the next tenant (unethical).
Meanwhile, put as much covering over your body (including hands and feet) while you are home. The mites can get into the body and it is very, very, very difficult to get rid of them once they are in the body (I was ignorant and didn't know the pest can enter the body; I have been trying hard to get rid of them from my body for two and a half years).
If you are outside and you feel biting/itching on a body part that is well covered, then you probably have the mites in the body already (the bites are from inside of the body!) and they will spread all over the body unless something is done.

This is a reply to # 1,955,092Rubbing lightly ozonated olive oil mixed with fully ozonated hemp oil on your skin will continuously give off ozone...@ ozonatedonlineoil.com... For problem spots, I would rub the fully ozonated hemp oil, instant relief...I would apply for at least 2 months
