The detox has nothing to do with cracked heels. This has happened since you exposed air suddenly to your obviously soft pink skin which prior had been well covered.The air dried out your skin quickly. You would have been best to expose your heels to air slower.I wear shoes all the time and if i expose them for a few days because i am on holidays or such, they crack so i use bf&c ointment for the cracking to heal.Or i use herbal cream combo until they heal which can be a while.Next time expose them more slowly and when they feel dry cover them again until YOU feel you can expose them again.

I too had problems with dry cracked heels.. espec in the summer. I found the problem cleared up with adding more EFA's to the diet and rubbing olive oil or coconut oil on them everday.

I find that my nightly sitz baths (soaking in hot water for 45 mins) help the cracked spots. I will add OOO or cayenne to the bath, which I think is helping. Also I rub olive oil or coconut oil on them after the bath. It is so unsightly!
