I went to the doctor and found out I had elevated Liver enzymes. Doctor said "we will monitor and check again in a month"
I decided it was too long of a wait and started taking Milk Thistle and the pain I had between the shoulder blades is gone. I'm in shock at how quickly this seems to be working. II'm taking 300 mg 3 times daily.
I have noticed, however, that I've had some diareah. What dosage would be recommend to help heal and allow my liver to better process the medications I'm on?
Also, I want to heal my stomach. How much L-glutamine should I take? I'm thinking of starting at 12gs. Is that too high?

This is a reply to # 1,958,940I'm sorry I can't advise you on the milk thistle doseage, but I'm glad you are experiencing relief.
I think the typical dose of Glutamine is 5G.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,958,940If the Milk thistle is causing diarrhea, it may be wise not to increase the dose until you stop having diarrhea. Milk thistle promotes the health of the liver. The liver produces bile, and bile has a laxative action. If there is not some other cause of diarrhea, it should normalize as time goes on.
Apart from that, you could have 1 gram (1000 mg) 3 times a day of Milk Thistle.
You could take even larger doses of Milk thistle, but it would be expensive.
