its not the genes themselves that cause disease, its the expression of the genes in certain environments. the way a gene expresses itself in a particular environment CAN be passed on to offspring. then their environment will either reinforce this expression or force another change or be so imbedded in the formative years spent in the original environment as to cause dysfunction in a different one. this is one reason people do much better in their native land. and when people migrate, they tend to choose a settling spot reminiscent of "home". thats one reason why Felice Pedroni found gold in the hills north of fairbanks alaska. they reminded him of his home in northern italy.
