I look at this forum every day but unless someone specifically says they have LOW cortisol, I don't use the advise in case it may lower my cortisol even further.
My question.... should I be taking iodine?
I take a whole food multivitamin, calcium, a digestive enzyme, D3 and ubiquinol. I'll start magnesium tomorrow but I'm not sure how much to take. ???
I have been sick for 2 1/2 years. It was a guy from the health food store that suggested I may have adrenal fatigue. My doctor ran an Addison's test in the hospital but it came out ok. BUT. I also bought a saliva test and did it (what a pain THAT is!). After shipping the test back I called the lab to say that I hadn't mentioned when I use my inhaled steroid. They told me that if they ran the test it wouldn't be accurate because of the steroid I inhale and that my Addisons test couldn't have been accurate either. You know, the lab offered to return my money! Incredible huh.
I haven't been able to do anything at all in the mornings, I need a 4 hour nap in the afternoon too. As the evening progresses I feel a bit better. From what I've read on this forum these symptoms seem to be low cortisol. There doesn't seem to be a way to test because Of the stupid steroid. The lab said I'd have to be off the steroid for 4 to 6 weeks...closer to 6 weeks. Stopping it isn't an option because of my bad lungs.
I'm tired of my husband having to do nearly everything. It's not fair to him.
Any suggestions? Should I take
Iodine too? ANY advise would be greatly appreciated as I have so very little quality of life.
Thank you!
