Your dosage of Iodine
you started on was the smallest in iodine-references:
- - - Mix 1 drop 2% Lugols
into each of many 8 oz
bottles of water, put the caps back on.
- - - Week 1 drink 1 oz
daily (about 380mcg iodone)
- - - Week 2 drink 2 oz
daily (about 775mcg iodine)
Were you doing OK on the 1 ounce of water daily? If not, you may need to titrate even lower. The 380mcg may even be too much Iodine
for you to start. Try 1/2 ounce daily (170mcg daily)
1) The 1/2 tsp of salt each day is not the salt flush. It is part of the Co-supplement taken each day.
2) the salt flush is done in addition to the 1/2 tsp salt each day. Do the pulse dose and the salt flush together.
Details of each here:
* Dry eyes are a symptom of severe Iodine
* As the thyroid grabs up the iodine, it sometimes swells temporarily.
* The diarrhea is a detox symptom. try reducing the vitamin C temporarily and titrate back up over time.
I think you should go back to the 1 oz water dose and stay at that low dose for several weeks until your detox symptoms pass.
Cheer up, all detox symptoms pass sooner or later.
Any other advice for Redirish?
I am on day 7 on the slow Iodine protocol; changed to the two ounces
of water two days ago.
Many detox symptoms. A couple of questions.
For the salt flushing how many times should I do this . I usually do the salt flush once a day after I take the Iodine. My stomach is bloated and I burp all day long, a lot of acid. Also happened at night and the pain was really bad.I had to take an acid reducer and tums like product to get through the day. Also diarrhea. Any other suggestions . I am going off the Iodine for two days so I can work, and will start again on Saturday,.
Goiter also seems bigger., and is hurting
I quit the diet soda, and had to get a regular natural soda today to help with the burping to get through work.
Also the know on Paleo is a lot to do all at once. Purchased some Lara bars when I did not feel well again.
Is anyone has any suggestions for the dry eyes. This is not from the detox. I only sleep about 2 hours, then I actually wake up and have to put in drops, and then try to go back to sleep. This happens all night.
Thank you again everyone for all your help, aI wish you all good health
