>I was recently tested by another lab and it came up positive for an amoeba infection, which could explain my IBS and many, many other symptoms. Any thoughts? I don't want to drive 8 hours to get a useless Antibiotic
with so many side affects.
It's not often that people get proper diagnose from other labs. Which lab found Amoeba on you?
In my experience and from what I have read of others experience Cahill does not prescribe Metronidazole often. He seems to usually prescribe Paromomycin and Doxycycline for entamoeba histolytica.
EH (entamoeba histolytica) and Giardia are demonic bugs which can be hard to treat and diagnose.
It's very likely that EH is causing causing you IBS.
BTW, we also have another forum dedicated for protozoa at http://pptu.lefora.com
keep an eye on my posts, I might have some interesting reports in a couple of weeks.
