Grain-based diets tend to be very pro-inflammatory. Research continually points to the negative effects of grains. Much of that is probably due to the current state of soils and use of the chemicals. The farming methods of the Hunzas is much different from the rest of the world. The percentage of grains that exist in the world are more and more genetically modified.
How often someone requires meat depends on their genetics. From the information available, the genetics of the Hunzas doesn't require daily meat. I don't advocate daily meat in everyone, but it does seem to fit others very well. Some of my patients eat it once a week, once a month, every other day, and every day. It varies. I eat it almost every day.
