Wormwood is only toxic if you take too much or for too long. For a P&B shake, you only take it one time to stun the worms, then do the shake, so unless you drink the entire bottle, it isn't going to kill you.

Take the Wormwood 3 hours before doing the shake, to give it time to stun the worms. Then the P&B shake will grab them and move them out.
