I to only use "stainless steel" for 30 years, my baking wear I use glass. I do not make any more round cakes or muffins..but I am fine with a square cake and muffin in a loaf glass dish.
I have done extensive research the only thing that may be better or same is an cast iron covered in enamal only made in the USA. Most other countries have heavy metals in the enamal..if you go that route make sure to review what I am saying..this has been about two years since doing my research.
