Accutane damages the liver among other things, including causing mental issues (depression, etc) that are linked to the liver.
Do a series of liver (gallbladder) flushes. Some of the benefits of Liver Flushing
just happen to be skin improvement, softer skin, release of emotions, feelings of well being, etc.
Milk thistle is also good for the liver.
You might be malnourished from poor uptake of nutrients (from accutane and lack of bile from a damaged / clogged liver and gallbladder) or you are not getting proper nutrients in your diet. Make sure you are getting lots of B vitamins and healthy fats. Silica, vitamin C and MSM (sulfur) are great for skin. Whole eggs provide a lot of this stuff. Eggs are fed to dogs to improve their coat (hint hint). Gelatin is good for hair and nails. Your hair and nails will grow faster when you eat gelatin.
If you strip skin with soaps and cleaners the body can try to overcompensate and over-produce oils and sebum. Like when people use chapstick and moisturizers too much and become addicted to them because the body stops producing it's own natural moisturizers.
Use cold or luke warm water to wash skin, never hot water. Humans didn't wash with hot water until just recently in evolution. Hot water "cooks" the skin in a sense, damages and strips it.
Give your skin time to adjust and heal, be kind to yourself and don't stress it. Stress taxes the liver and a bad liver causes stress, causing a bad cycle that you are probably in right now.
