Alright everyone, after some thorough research on the forums and elsewhere, I've decided to try my luck with Dovonex. If any of you guys remember Chris Juno or username 92305 I think, they both tried Dovonex for an extended period of time. 92305 was cured, and Chris Juno said it helped manage his. I think he later found out his EC was due to some allergy? Anyways after looking into the symptoms of both EC and psoriasis, I'm pretty convinced at this point that for the majority of us, EC is some sort of variation of Psoriasis. I'm not saying it IS psoriasis, just related in some ways. Psoriasis
sufferers experience the build up of dead skin cells every couple of days like we do with accompanied inflammation just like us.
After looking into different medications that treat psoriasis, I came across numerous articles on vitamin d3 analogues which Dovonex belongs to. I have found mostly positive reviews on Dovonex, with some people even stating it put their Psoriasis
into remission, which is pretty amazing. Anyways, I'm fortunate enough to have a family friend who is a derm so I just called him up and he ordered it for me. I'll be picking it up on Monday and will most likely start it that same day. I hope this is it for me, as my nearly 5 months of Bepanthen has helped my condition and I have seen some healing. Hopefully this will nudge my body towards total healing. Oh and I'm getting the generic version because apparently they don't make Dovonex in ointment form anymore. The FDA has stated that the generic is just as effective as name brand so I'm not too worried, plus name brand is extremely expensive!!
